Join Juan Chaahk Balam and Pearl Bhasin on a Journey into the Gokul Practice on 30 June-1 July 2018.  Inspired and trained by Mahayogi Jani Jaatinen aka Gokulacandra, creator and founder of Gokul Yoga, Juan and Pearl will share their insights into Gokul Yoga and its Bhakti Yoga lineage, and Gokul Yoga’s unique system of Ha and Tha Bandhas.

Practice as Puja: Gokul Vinyasa Practice
The Gokul Vinyasa Practice is a dynamic sequence tapping into the use of 13 main Bandhas, that harness the Mind's faculties of Thinking, Feeling and Willing.  Alignment is practiced on a Pranic level with Ha and Tha Bandhas, deepening the awareness of the Practitioner, eventually seeing Practice as Puja (Prayer), as Asana becomes Devotional (Bhakti), the essence of a Gokul Practice.

On Perspective: Reversed Sequence Gokul Practice
Explore using the Gokul system of Ha and Tha Bandhas to work on a deeper, pranic level, in a unique and dynamic Reversed Practice (Rishikesh style).  Discover how the sequence in reverse can refresh and reset your Practice, lending new insight into how you practice Yoga.

The Ground Beneath: Gokul Restorative Practice
Discover how a Restorative Practice can be dynamic with the Gokul system of Bandhas.  A grounding Practice working with Gravity as Alambana (Foundation), with focus on Sequencing to create space, and the use of Tha Bandhas to engage deeply with Rest, and effectively come to terms with the Ego (Ahamkara), return to the Self (Atman), and be with the Supreme.

​The Instructors:

Juan Chaahk Balam studied and trained at The Yoga Institute in Mumbai, India and continued practicing and learning Ashtanga Vinyasa in Mysore, India. However he found a true sense of devotion towards his Teacher, Mahayogi Gokulacandra das, as soon as he met him. Inspired by his Teacher’s practice and teachings he now follows the Gokul Yoga system to serve his Teacher’s mission.

​Pearl Bhasin is trained in Ashtanga Vinyasa (200hrs), Dharma Yoga (200hrs), and Gokul Vinyasa (300hrs). Her Dharma and Gokul qualifications, both strong in the Bhakti (Devotional) Yoga tradition, calls for her to serve her students’ Practices, with the focus on coming to terms with the Supreme via Self-Realisation - the true aim of Yoga.
