25HR Teacher Training
with Mahayogi Gokulacandra dās (Jani Jaatinen)
1-3 November 2019
Venue: Yoga In Sync @ 21B Bukit Pasoh Rd, Singapore 089835
This November, we welcome Mahayogi Gokulacandra dās (Jani Jaatinen) @Gokulacandra, founder of Gokul Yoga, back in Singapore for one weekend only to lead a special Gokul Yoga Bahiranga Sadhana 25HR Teacher Training Course.
Gokul Yoga Bahiranga Sadhana is systematically built so that the main focus of the practice moves from gross level to subtle level; from physical work to energetic work. The efficiency resulting from conscious movement of Prana (life force) through key points in the energetic body is secured by utilizing Bandhas (energetic locks).
Bandhas are also built systematically as the whole Bahiranga Sadhana itself. Starting from physical alignment and reference points, progressively moving towards energetic action. As the energetic work becomes more refined understanding of the nature and quality of the energy or Prana is revealed.
It is important to understand the different qualities of the continuous Life Force which we are attempting to direct consciously through the asana practice. In order to utilize asana effectively as one of the Eight Limbs given by Patanjali, the qualities of energy (Prana Guna) should be studied attentively.
Naturally, these qualities shift from one asana group to the other, making the study holistic and wholesome so that knowledge of energy ultimately becomes revealed thus clearing the way for deeper practices.
The programme syllabus will cover the following areas:
BANDHAS
This programme is designed for yoga teachers and practitioners with an interest to deepen their knowledge and practice with Mahayogi Gokulacandra dās. Prior experience with Gokul Yoga (Hatha or Vinyasa) is beneficial, but not a requirement.
