There is a natural order and harmony to this world, which we can discover. But we have to feel it in our bones,
in our hearts, in our minds

in our hearts, in our minds

Mind-body techniques that promote homeostatic mechanisms as well as improve autonomic regulation and vagal tone are key to maintaining health and healing chronic pain. When we hone our sensory awareness in movement and touch, we can experience how the body and mind are intricately connected through breath, emotions and our nervous system. This will empower us to practice self-care effectively, and to also share this knowledge to others in meaningful ways.
Outta Hatha welcomes back Daphne Chua – certified Yoga Therapist, movement educator and bodyworker for a one-day immersion on "Somatic Yoga: Cultivating Spaciousness for our Nervous System".
This one-day immersion will shine a light on our habitual but unconscious neurological patterning that manifest into how we breathe, our holding gait, and reactivity to circumstances. These are manifested through our predisposition, developmental patterns, and conditioning.
Our ability to regulate the inflammatory and immune response, maintain proper organ function and heal from physical disease depends on the proper functioning of our autonomic nervous system.
Bringing together movement, breathwork, and hands-on touch to cultivate sensory awareness, allowing our mind to de-clutter and re-wire. Hence cultivating a mindful and practical dialogue in dealing with pain, injuries, anxiety & stress.
In this workshop, you will explore -
This course is for movers, yogis, athletes, dancers, bodyworkers, coaches who are interested in exploring the embodied biological process so we can learn to regulate our stress response. The first session will be focused on movement explorations both dynamic and subtle. In the second session, we will segue into theory and discussion, as well as hands-on partner work to experience the therapeutic shift in co-regulating the nervous system through gentle and intuitive touch.
