Outta Hatha is hosting Daphne Chua for a Yoga Therapeutics in Bodywork Applications training on 8-10 December 2017. This is a 3-day yoga therapy intensive programme, explore healing tools for our physical and energetic mind-body through the application of hands-on bodywork.
Daphne will facilitate movement, breathwork, somatic exploration with the application of alignment, functional & embodied anatomy, as well as classical yogic texts on the subtle body to uncover the various aspects of yoga as therapy.
Mindful, compassion and deep listening are tools we will cultivate to create the sanctity of a therapeutic relationship through the art of touch. The hands-on work will be one that honours both the carer and the receiver in an intuitive dance of exploration and inner healing.
This will be an immersion for those who would like to experience the intricate expressions of therapeutic yoga for transformation and healing. We will look into conditions such as -
You will be able to apply these tools for teaching yoga or movement, self-care, or in offering bodywork to support your clients and your loved ones.
A certificate of completion will be presented for further credit to a Yoga Alliance RYS 200 certification or Continuing Education Units (CEU) for yoga teachers.

- Lower back pain and related causes such as sciatica / herniated discs
- The Psoas as an expression of our core essence
- Injuries & the fascia network
- Understanding our nervous system and dealing with stress
- Managing digestive issues

About Daphne
As a yoga therapist, a movement facilitator and bodyworker of various modalities, Daphne is trained in a multitude of yoga styles & disciplines. She found resonance in teachings which combine the wisdom of Eastern traditions with Western sensibilities. She is trained in the art of Traditional Thai Yoga Massage, Biodynamic Cranial Sacral Therapy, Chi Nei Tsang (TCM Abdominal Detox Massage), Tai Chi Massage and Reiki, all of which she infuses into the alchemy of her intuitive bodywork and yoga therapy. Daphne incorporates a heart-centred approach with a solid foundation in alignment and biomechanics. She also melds insights from yoga philosophy, somatic movements, and subtle anatomy within her practice. Her therapy sessions, classes, workshops, and trainings are known to focus on breath, mindfulness, and awareness to create the perfect balance in nurturing the body, mind and spirit. Daphne is a yoga therapist, an E-RYT 500 yoga teacher, and a Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider (YACEP).
